DYFI AND DISTRICT WILDFOWLERS ASSOCIATION
Dyfi estuary

Welcome to the Dyfi and District Wildfowlers Association web site.  (DDWA)

The DDWA have been active on the Dyfi estuary for many years with wildfowling and
Conservation work. There was a lot of Greenland white fronted geese on the estuary but
In the winter of 1963 a lot died from the conditions.
Numbers have now increased with 200+ birds wintering on the estuary, a voluntary ban still operates to protect them.
The Dyfi estuary is a tidal estuary and therefore has to be respected when wildfowling as it can be very easy to get into difficulties.
Wildfowling on the estuary is by permit only.
Anyone wishing to join may apply for membership to the DDWA
